Gumla Polytechnic is situated in Aspirational District (As per NITI Aayog, Govt. of India) of Jharkhand – Gumla. Now, Gumla is blessed with it's first Diploma Engineering College, started on 15th August, 2019. Its primary vision is to enable student(s) covering districts Gumla, Simdega, Lohardaga and Chatra, to learn about new technologies/skills and generate employment among the youths. It is a milestone of DHTE&SD, Govt. of Jharkhand, which has established Gumla Polytechnic for the students to pursue technical courses in their area.

• Gumla Polytechnic is established by Department of Higher, Technical Education & Skill Development, Govt. Of Jharkhand. 
• It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi.
• Gumla Polytechnic is a newly built state of the art infrastructure, spread in 10 acres with 2 lac. Sq.ft built up area equipped with all the modern facilities to enhance the quality of education for the students.
• College offers five different courses in Diploma Engineering stream i.e., Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Mining and Electrical Engineering.
• The campus has a well-installed and equipped workshop consisting of the latest machinery.
• The campus provides the latest labs for each course offered i.e., Civil, Automobile, Electrical, Mechanical and Mining. Labs of Physics, Chemistry and Computer are also well equipped and updated.
• The Central Computing Lab has more than 100 computers, whereas, Language lab is equipped with the latest version of Orell digital language lab software.
• Gumla Polytechnic campus is enabled with Internet wifi facility with Fibre Optic Internet of 34 mbps dedicated Leased Line.
• College's library consists of more than 2000 books with DELNET Digital Library and MOOCS and Swayam Multimedia facility. 
• Gumla Polytechnic has MoU with Twintech Engineering & Design Technology  Pvt. Ltd. to provide its students with certification and training on the latest technology.
• Gumla Polytechnic is registered under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India. 
• Gumla Polytechnic has a separate and independent Manufacturing Unit to train and help students to understand the needs of society and market and manufacture products accordingly. 
• Gumla Polytechnic established “Kartik Oraon Innovation Lab” to nurture the ideas of students into reality. The aim of the newly built Innovation Lab is to encourage the students for the Start-up and become entrepreneurs.
• Gumla Polytechnic has a well-furnished and well- maintained Hostel facility for both Boys (300 beds) and Girls (200 beds). 
• Gumla Polytechnic firmly believes that learning should not just be limited to classroom teaching. Therefore, the college regularly organizes various seminars, conferences, debate competitions, tech fest and others.
